You’re Not Alone: Cast Your Cares and Stand Strong

One thing that I love about God is that He gives us everything we need to be able to live victoriously! He has given us His Word to instruct us and His Spirit to live inside us to give us “real time” reminders of what His Word says.

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬-‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Our scripture instructs us on how to handle our cares and concerns. As simplistic as it reads, oft times it is so difficult to do! I can speak for myself when I say this. So many times, when faced with the challenges of life, I try to handle them on my own, my way. When the weight becomes too heavy, frustration sets in, and it’s at this point that the proverbial wheels seem to fall off.

All the while, God is saying, “Give them to me…, Let me take those…., I can handle them for you…”. He knows all about the feelings we have and what we’re going through because He experienced them all when He came to earth in the person of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He cares and we can trust Him to handle them all!

When we’re caught up and distracted with “cares”, it makes it difficult to remain alert and aware of the attacks and tricks that the enemy, the devil, sends our way. He is always looking to disrupt the work that God is doing in us and stop us from reaching all of the potential that God has placed in us.  One trick that the enemy uses is to make us feel like we are alone, isolation. If you have ever watched lions hunt, they always try to isolate one member of the herd for prey. It is in the isolation that the devouring happens.

Our scripture reminds us that believers everywhere are dealing with the same issues. So you are not alone! We can draw strength and encouragement by checking on each other,  praying for one another, sharing our testimonies, and uplifting one another. Don’t be afraid to say where you are!

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
